Lane S. Bishop has been a member of SAMSOG since 1969 and is currently serving as the Chapter Representative for the Foothills Chapter. He is licensed in GA, TN, NC, and SC. Lane has served SAMSOG in many capacities through the years, including serving on the Legislative Committee, serving as Vice President, and serving on many other committees.
Lane attended Southern Tech in Marietta, GA, studying surveying and mapping. He has owned his own firm, Lane S. Bishop and Associates for over 40 years. He is especially proud that his company has been able to survive for such a long period of time, especially during the recent hard economic times.
Both his wife, Shelley, and his daughter, Cathy, are registered land surveyors. He has four grandsons and two great grandsons, and enjoys spending time will all of them. Lane and his family reside in Blue Ridge, GA
